Covid-19 has dominated our lives for the past 3 months putting lives, loves and football on hold!
After the longest three months Football is back to finish what it started in August 2019.
This will be for sure the season and the year that none of us will EVER forget.
Over the coming weeks we may well be watching football in a very different way to that which we are used to.....but we still love the game and I know for one that I cannot wait to see it return.
This weeks Picks are probably the toughest we have ever done in the 12 years of doing this. Yes, we are sure Liverpool will end up being Premier League Champions as sure as we are that Leeds will return to the Premier League. After that....who know what will happen in the remaining fixtures!
So our Predictions for the week ahead.....
Sheffield United and Villa play one of the catch up games in the Premier League. Although Villa are playing at home, in these strange times in empty stadiums we have Sheffield winning this one. In fact we have poor Villa losing the first two games back as we also have them losing against Chelsea, although that did not make our top 10 picks for the week.
We have Fulham to win the Championship London Promotion derby against Brentford then we have gone with our heart picking Bristol City to win away at Blackburn and our local team Northampton to win round one of the League Two playoffs. Others to note AFC Bournemouth to escape the bottom three and Luton to secure a win having got their man back from Stoke.
We hope that you have all kept safe and well and not been too impacted by the effects of Covid-19. Whatever happens over the coming weeks it is fantastic to have football back. We are all footballwinners!
